I've been really busy the past week, hence the absence here. I've gotten a few business proposals which is kind of annoying since I recently started a new job, if everything goes my way i'll stay where I am. But nothing is certain yet. Meanwhile spring has taken over Stockholm and I feel so happy about that, I can tell that this summer is gonna be extra fantastic just like this seasons Lanvin collection for women, Holy Moly this is hotstuff!

Winter is finally giving in here in Stockholm, one can feel it. Soon comes spring and that feels fantastic. One of the nice things about spring is the clothes, lighter and more comfortable. Trench coats and leather jackets are perfect. I have my eye on a leather jacket from Acne right now, I might just get it next month.

Stuff changes and new things come and go, fashion is a never ending story.
Thierry Mugler is back, celebrities like Beyonce and Lady Gaga has been wearing the creations for a while. Now its time for "normal" (filthy rich) people to see any buy the clothes at your nearest Thierry Mugler boutique or department store. Well the fashion world is thrilled for sure. Thierry Mugler was one of the greatest during the 80's and 90's all the super models walked for him. The shows were like a theater/circus acts with animals and other unusual runway items. Stylist, Vogue editor, bloger- Nicola Formichetti is now also the creative director for- yes Thierry Mugler, good for him!

Balmain's latest collection for FW2011 isn't the most creative and fashion forward one i've seen lately. I seriously don't like it, nothing is really new, except for the freakishly ugly white lace up boots. OMG*
Balmain was the hottest thing one could get 4 seasons ago, now its all so 2008. Lets hope for their own sake that the russians keep buying the stuff like blind rich fools.

Gisele Bündchen keeps getting better and better. I truly love this girl. She went from high fashion to lingerie and commercial stuff and then back to high fashion again. She's everywhere lately, H&M spring campaign, numerous magazine covers including some for VOGUE and ads in plenty. You go Gisele.

...ESSENTIAL RULES FOR SUMMER #1
I know its hard to imagine that summer will ever come, at least to Stockholm. The last few days have been like arctic snow storms. Anyway.., when the summer finally arrives there are things one have to keep in mind when dressing/styling. Less is always more during the hot summer months. Trust me on this one. I've said it before but i'm sure some of us need a reminder. Layering is awesome, but mostly during fall/winter. Don't think too much, just put something nice and sheer on. An important part of this rule is to feel comfortable, its very crucial! And if you feel like it, show some nipples, that is the perfect way to finnish off a fantastic summer look.

...STHLM FW 2011 REVIEW
As I told you earlier I haven't really been super active this seasons fw, but I still saw some shows yesterday.
The show for Stylein was fantastic, for real. If I were a girl I would definitely go for that whole collection, very stylish, clean, and the materials looked so soft and sheer. Nice colors as well.

Then I saw Odeur, major disappointment. Like OMG and his little angels, WTF were they thinking when styling. They wanted to go for an avant-garde, dark looking kind of style. But it was seriously very depressing.

Cheap Monday put on a big show as usual, they showcased at the newly opened Stockholm Waterfront Congress centre. Awesomeness for sure, the location that is. The clothes were okay but nothing really awesome or "new". I did not care for the hair style of the female models, what was that?, who would do that? I just dunno... Meanwhile it was nice to see Frida Gustavsson open the show, very classy choice of model.

...UBI SUNT, F/W 2011
On monday this week I went to the presentation of Swedish fashion label Ubi Sunt. I must say it was quite lovely, I got too meet the designer himself Mr Aidin Sanati who showed me the collection and explained the concept.
I really liked the simplicity and elegance of the pieces, all very genuine and made with fine fabrics. I also appreciated the fact that almost the whole collection being menswear felt quite unisex enabling women to wear the clothes too. Thats awesome and very modern. I do hope everything goes well for this new designer.

Im off to the gym now, i've been a lazy pig lately so I have to work it hard.
I've come to sense with that white is the most classy color, even more classy than black, though black works more often. And while some might say that white isn't really a color but a mere shade of light, something bleached and dull. Maybe true , but its so deep and soft. I love white, I like it on the walls and floors, on clothes of course, and yes color can be awesome. Fantastic even. But the bottom line is that white is essential and can almost never go wrong.
Then again, after thinking for a while, what would white be without black... Im so confused now.

Im so super happy, and why is that? Well first of all because im going the the beautiful Italian island of Sardinia in two weeks. Its gonna be amazing, I just know it. I'll be there for eleven days with three friends and after watching photos on google im in love. It looks fantastic. Im also happy because the trees are starting to green up and the weather is slowly but steady gettin better & better. All that combined makes perfect mood ☺

Next fall/winter is already looking stylish thanks to Balmain. Too bad most of us will never be able to buy these pieces. Last season's womens collection included a crocodile jacket for over 60 000$ thats almost half a million SEK...CRAZY STUFF. So for me this will only be some nice inspiration.
